Why Taqwa Scouts

Four ideas at the heart of everything we do.

Every session, camp and badge is built around the same promise: help every young person grow in courage, character, community and faith — together, outdoors, with people they trust.

01

Adventure

Climbing, camping, hiking, fire-craft, and overnight expeditions that build courage one challenge at a time.

02

Character

Honesty, integrity, and service to others — the Scout Promise lived through real-world action every week.

03

Community

A second family of young people, parents, and volunteers cheering each other on inside and outside the troop.

04

Faith

Confidence in identity — proud young Muslims who lead with kindness, gratitude, and purpose.

The weekly experience

Real Scouting. Real adventure. Real friendships.

From Tuesday-night meets in Oldham to weekend expeditions and summer camps, our programme follows the UK Scout Association framework — adapted with a faith-rooted ethos that families recognise as their own.

  • Weekly meetings with games, crafts, skills and outdoor activity
  • Camps, hikes and adventure trips across the North West and beyond
  • Badges that build real-world skills: fire-craft, first aid, navigation, cooking
  • Service projects that give back to the Oldham community
  • Friendships and mentors that last well beyond the troop
